A “Fictional” Hubbard, Allison writes literary and speculative fiction as “A.M. Hubbard” and contemporary romance as “Allison Martine.” She hosts the podcasts, TO THE MOON, ALLISON, and co-hosts VOX VOMITUS. Replays for both shows can be found on most platforms including YouTube and Spotify.

An Orange County, California (almost) native, Allison studied at the University of California, San Diego, and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law.

Allison’s contemporary romance series, The Bourbon Books, has been lauded as witty, nuanced, and suggestive. The debut novel, DIBS, won the N.N. Light Book Award for Best RomCom, and was a Finalist in the 2020 Kindle Book Awards. It was also named as Reader’s Choice: Category Leader for Romance. DIBS is a modern love story, featuring a fictionalized nonprofit, The Ranchers. The sequel, SINCE SEPTEMBER, premiered in September 2021, and continues the love story that started in DIBS. In MOVE ON, MELINDA, the world of the Ranchers expands to feature a new pairing, hinted at in SINCE SEPTEMBER, and turns up the heat. The fourth installment, CLIMB THE SALMON LADDER, was released in May of 2022, with fan-favorite Jamie Wallace taking her turn as lead. The final full-length novel, THE RANCHERS TAKE MANHATTAN, is newly released as of July 2024, with a cast of returning characters and five points-of-view. A Christmas novella featuring the bubbly blonde with the soda pop moniker, Lorrie Sunkist, is still to come.
